Virana is proving to be the fan-favourite in Disney’s latest film, Raya and the Last Dragon.
The animated feature film was released to Disney+ viewers on 5 March 2021, through Premier Access. Premier Access requires an extra payment to watch content that would typically be hitting the cinemas, as was done with the release of Mulan on 4 September 2020.
Raya and the Last Dragon is a fantasy story set in the world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons live side by side.
It will be free for Disney+ viewers to watch on 4 June 2021.

Virana in Raya and the Last Dragon
In Raya and the Last Dragon, we get not one but three female protagonists. These characters are Raya (Kelly Marie Tran), Sisu (Awkwafina) and Namaari (Gemma Chan).
But viewers have also shown their love for the film’s secondary character, and antagonist, Virana. Virana is Namaari’s mother and the chief of the Fang Land.
The people of Fang are known to be expert assassins – who also love cats – and Virana is their fierce leader.
Who is the voice of Virana?
The actress behind the voice of Virana is none other than Sandra Oh. The 49-year-old actress is known for starring in the likes of Grey’s Anatomy and Killing Eve.
