“Take Me Away” is a song by Christina Vidal from the Freaky Friday movie soundtrack and is featured in scenes of the film while being performed by fictional band Pink Slip, which is comprised by her character Maddie, the lead character Anna Coleman played by Lindsay Lohan, and three other character members. It was composed and originally recorded by the all-female Australian alternative/punk rock band Lash, who appear in the film soundtrack with “Beauty Queen” as well.Two versions of the song were included in different physical soundtrack copies of the movie worldwide: a solo Christina Vidal version, and a second version similar to the one heard and performed in the movie with additional backing vocals by Lindsay Lohan.
