#2 Courage’s past
One day, Courage witnesses a missing dog flyer on the back of a dairy carton. What follows are a spiral of flashbacks on how Courage was abandoned as a puppy. He had two parents that loved him as the world, and one day, he got his head stuck in two gate posts. His caregivers brought him to the vet where the spooky, estranged veterinarian frees Courage and then asks to talk with his parents privately. Courage only manages to witness his parents get nabbed by a net and swooped away. Courage trails the evil veterinarian and discovers the kidnapper is a mad scientist working on an experiment involving sending dogs up into space and breeding them. The Frankenstein-esque doctor even crafted the rocket with his secret knowledge of rocket science and aerospace engineering to send the dogs into space.
#3 The Mask
A strange, dog skeptic woman of mystery origin, named Kitty, wearing a mask and white robe, appears at the 1962 ranch house. She recklessly starts beating Courage with various items and she tells his owners that her best friend Bunny is being held by a gangster named “Mad Dog”, who treats Bunny as a slave. As Kitty tried to escape with Bunny, she was told by Mad Dog to stay away from Bunny. Courage, who wants Kitty to leave the 1962 ranch house and needs to prove to her that not all dogs are bad, decides to rescue Bunny from Mad Dog
#4 A Hunchback Of Nowhere
Despite his lack of physical attractiveness – which makes him a social outcast – the Hunchback is a very gentle, affectionate person. The Hunchback is a very eccentric individual that exhibits great amusement in making music, shadow puppets and trapeze acrobatics. Although he takes little offense in being shunned, he allows himself to be enraged by those who pick on others weaker than themselves. He spends most of his days hiking through the world, carrying with him a plentiful set of brass bells. The blind generosity of strangers is a joyful topic for him, and he thoroughly enjoys discovering such people on his many travels.
#5 The Curse of Shirley
Now we all know Eustace to be the meanest character to ever exist so when this episode aired it was him getting a taste of his own medicine. That is until he finally empathized with his younger self being abused by his mother calling him names such as “Stupid”. With mushrooms growing out of his body and a stormy cloud following him he makes it onto the roof to give himself security with a hat.
