My mother has played Fallout and other Bethesda games for a long time. She had put in around 1100 hours on Fallout 4 before we finally convinced her to take the plunge into Fallout 76.We started playing back in March when COVID went into full swing as a way for our family to play together and speak regularly while having fun in a game world we were all at least familiar with. It has been a great experience for the most part.Until yesterday. My Mom received a message from Bethesda Support/Zenimax stating that she had VIOLATED their TOS and rules on usernames. She was very upset by this, since not only is her name not offensive at all, but it”s the nickname she has always gone by.We have called my Mom “Salami” or “MommySalami” for more than 30 years now. She achieved her 1100+ hours of Fallout play while named “MommySalami” and has had that nickname for the last ~2 months of play in FO76. Bethesda actually directly acknowledged and recognized my mother by sending her a loot crate after we posted about her Fallout 4 progress back in 2018. She was using the “MommySalami” name when they recognized her for those achievements. So we are confused why there is an issue now?I can only assume that this is a joke/false-positive/new employee that made a mistake? I find it hard to believe that Bethesda and Zenimax are actually assigning some kind of offensive status to the words “Mommy” and “Salami” and are really going to prevent my mother from using her long-standing nickname? Especially when there are TONS of graphic/offensive names running around in the wasteland that are blatant violations of their naming rules by circumventing automatic detection of curse words, etc.I can find nothing in the TOS or other terms and conditions banning the use of lunch-meat related, rhyming names for usernames. I would love if someone from Bethesda could reach out to me so we can resolve this. As it is she has been given an ultimatum that she only has 3 days to request a different name, or they are going to give her a terrible, generic name to play under (which will likely prevent her from changing it for 3 months due to the limit on name changes on bethesda.net accounts) and give her account a “strike” that could lead to a future ban if they ever falsely accuse her of something again.Anyone have any experience with this or know a good way to open a dialogue with Bethesda Support outside of the ticket system? The email they sent seems automatically generated so I”m worried we won”t get a real person to look at it in time.Any help is much appreciated.

I also had this issue with my account where my name got flagged for no good reason and I was given a really dorky name with the inability to change. I asked for an explanation as to how my name was unacceptable and I was pretty much told to screw off. Would it be possible for me to DM you about this problem since I do not want to post my new or old username on reddit?
