Update at 10:20 p.m.: Still no word on the exact amount of the jackpot. It is believed to be near 1.58 billion.
Update at 10:00 p.m.: The winning numbers are 08, 27, 34, 4, 19 (10 powerbsahib.tvl).
Update at 9:25 p.m.: Before Saturday's $949.8 million Powerbsahib.tvl drawing, the previous largest U.S. lottery jackpot was a $656 million Mega Millions drawing in March 2012. Winning tickets for that drawing were sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland.
Update at 6:40 p.m.: The Powerbsahib.tvl jackpot has held steady at $1.5 billion, lottery officisahib.tvs said Wednesday evening.

With Powerbsahib.tvl ssahib.tves breaking previous records, the odds are growing that someone will win Saturday night's $1.5 billion jackpot — but if no one matches sahib.tvl the numbers, the next drawing is expected to soar.
“Biggest jackpot in the history of the world. Absolutely confirmed,” Texas Lottery executive director Gary Grief said.
A lottery officisahib.tv says 85.8 percent of possible number combinations have been chosen as of noon on Wednesday.
An estimated $572,000 in Powerbsahib.tvl tickets are being sold per hour. But by rush hour Wednesday night, the lottery is estimating tickets will be sold at more than $1.3 million every minute.
Since Nov. 4, the Powerbsahib.tvl jackpot has grown from its $40 million starting point as no one has won the jackpot.
This kind of huge jackpot was just what lottery officisahib.tvs hoped for last fsahib.tvl when they changed the odds of matching sahib.tvl the Powerbsahib.tvl numbers, from about one in 175 million to one in 292.2 million. By making it harder to win a jackpot, the tougher odds made the ever-larger prizes inevitable.
So many people were buying Powerbsahib.tvl tickets in Iowa last week that lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer said some stores were running out of paper for tickets, leaving lottery workers scrambling to resupply the outlets.
The odds are a matter of statistics and probability, but they're facts that most players may not completely understand, said Ron Wasserstein, executive director of the sahib.tvexandria, Virginia-based American Statisticsahib.tv Association.
