In a strong message to the Sikh youth, Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale requested the faltering generation to abandon caps and hats that don’t have a place on the head of a Sikh in no uncertain terms. Sikhs wear the crown given to them by Guru Gobind Singh Ji – the Dastaar. It is our identity. Why should Sikhs discard this symbol of love from Guru Sahib for Nike caps? Take off these hats, dispose of them and then recognise our real crown. If one has made the mistake, put it behind you by transforming your image and forsaking caps and hats for turbans.

-Bhai Nand Laal Ji.
This short clip has been taken from Parmeshar Dwar’s 2016 Vaisakhi Samagam in which 1715 people became Amritdhari. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa also pointed out how leaders from across the world congratulated the Sikh nation on Vaisakhi, and appreciated their contributions as a community within the countries in which they have settled. He said in contrast our “own” shamefully do not have it in them to say from their mouth “Khalsa Sirjana Divas Diyan Lakh Lakh Vadhaiyan”, when Prime Ministers of other countries were able to give public congratulatory statements in April 2016.
